There are many different ways to travel to Sweden.
When travelling from Europe, you can drive either by car or fly in by plane.

Plane
When you come by plane, i always recommend renting a car in Sweden. Because the distances in Sweden can be long And you probably want to make the most of your experience.
​
Plane tickets do not have to be expensive nowadays. It is easy to rent a car on the airport. Credit card is required, thats good to know.
​
There are two airports that are relatively close to my location.
-Oslo Airport (in Norway) wich is 2,5 hours of beautifull driving away.
-Götenborg airport, wich is appr. 4 hours of driving away. The rental cars and flights are cheaper here.
Car
When travelling by car you have 2 options:
1. Take the tollbridge from Denmark to Sweden
This is when you want to drive the whole way.
The tollbridge is an enormous bridge crossing the sea between Denmark and Sweden. You will have to pay money to cross it. If you get an yearpass. You only pay for one way.
2. Take a ferry
This is when you want to sleep and travel at the same time. The most known ferries are the Stena Line Ferries but there are many more, like Finnlines, that are a little lighter on the wallet. Some will take you to Malmö and others will get you all the way op to Götenborg. It's an experience.
Visits from the EU
There is always a chance to get checked at the borders. A EU passport or identity card will suffice.

Visits from outside the EU
When you do not live in the EU, please make sure you have all documents needed to come to Sweden. Check this at your travel agency.
